When discussing sand production processes, two primary methods often come into focus: dry sand making and wet sand making. These methods differ significantly in how they handle manufactured sand, each suited to different environmental conditions and requirements.

Dry sand making is a method that does not involve the use of water. This approach is especially suitable for areas where water resources are scarce or in cold, arid regions. Throughout the sand-making process, materials are crushed and screened through impact crushers without any washing steps. One of the main advantages of this method is its independence from large amounts of water, making it particularly valuable in water-scarce regions. However, due to the lack of a washing step, dry sand making can produce more dust, affecting air quality in the working environment and potentially leading to a higher content of soil and other impurities in the finished sand. To address this issue, specialized dust removal equipment is typically required to control dust pollution.

In contrast, wet sand making utilizes water washing to remove soil, fine particles, and other impurities from the sand material. This method effectively enhances the quality of the sand, ensuring a cleaner final product with lower soil content, making it ideal for applications requiring high-quality sand. During the wet sand-making process, crushed sand materials are sent to washing machines where water flushes away the impurities. While this method provides superior quality sand and helps reduce dust pollution during production, it consumes significant amounts of water, making it more appropriate for areas with abundant water resources. Additionally, in colder regions, winter freeze protection measures must be considered to prevent equipment damage from ice formation.
